Missoula Electric Cooperative is committed to promoting energy efficiency and providing our members with opportunities to save energy and money with incentives. In addition to our residential and agricultural energy efficiency incentive programs MEC has recently implemented an energy efficiency Commercial Lighting Incentive Program for our members with industrial and commercial accounts. We want to help you save energy, reduce costs, increase profits and become energy smart!
Energy efficient lighting improvements have many potential benefits to you, the member, such as:
• Lower energy bills
• Reduced operating costs and return on investment
• Less frequent bulb replacements (resulting in O & M cost savings)
• Maximize performance with improved work environment (leading to increased employee productivity and morale) and
• Positive reactions from those visiting facilities where technologies are installed
MEC and all of its members benefit from energy efficiency improvement measures through:
• Reduced energy use and related energy supply needs which allows us to keep your rates down and
• Reduced environmental impact due to energy use
MEC personnel will walk you through the entire process. Once the eligibility requirements have been met an audit will be conducted to evaluate your current lighting system and determine what incentives may be available to you through MEC’s energy efficiency commercial lighting incentive program.
